Poem: Fife Ness
The northmen came
red white the slaughter
loud lamentations
and burning barns
Against them rose
the men of Alba
drove the sea wolves
ayont the dyke
But the king's end
came at land's end
a bloody cave mouth
as bi-ghlics foraged:
Oh, Constantine!
what northmen raid
the sea will take
and hold forever.
red white the slaughter
loud lamentations
and burning barns
Against them rose
the men of Alba
drove the sea wolves
ayont the dyke
But the king's end
came at land's end
a bloody cave mouth
as bi-ghlics foraged:
Oh, Constantine!
what northmen raid
the sea will take
and hold forever.
