#RunEveryStreet

Last year, I did the Tumps of Midlothian and started the County Tops. (I still haven't visited them all - getting a dog turned everything upside down!)

In a year without race gatherings I also did Race The Machine - the best of the virtual race concepts. It set me up for when half marathons finally started up again.

Racing the Machine...

But I am nothing if not nerdy, and any challenge with lists and maps will pique my attention. So this year, my project as we come out of winter has been inspired by Michael Shanks, a Modern Studies teacher who ran every street in his hometown of Glasgow. Why, I could do that where I live! Bonnyrigg's population is only 20,000, so shouldn't take nearly as long as the two years Michael took to run Glasgow. A committed runner could comfortably do it in a week, but I'm only going to get out for a trundle once a week. Still, it should keep me going until sometime in March!

What about where you live? Have you visited every street yet?

First run...
