Gigha: Isle of Mud
The earth of Gigha is more fertile than other Hebridean islands. This makes for lush grass - ideal for grazing cows. Combine heavy hooves with heavy rainfall and you get mud - lots of it.
So if you are visiting Gigha, bring your wellies.

It's worth it.
