Inverness Book Festival - Thursday 8 Oct

This is just a quick note to let you know about the Inverness Book Festival - I'll be appearing with John Allen (who wrote Cairngorm John and was leader of Cairngorm Mountain Rescue like, for ever) to talk about hills in some way or another. It's on Thursday 8 October - the same day as Claire Grogan and Brian Wilson!! (No, not that Brian Wilson - this Brian Wilson.

So, if you've got nothing better to do, and you are in Inverness on Thursday, and you like hillwalking, why not pop along and join in the fun.

How are the sales going?

blueskyscotland - no worries, it is complicated! I'm sure blueskyscotland is not the name you generally go by either! Thanks for letting your friends know about the launch :)

Billy - just had a look at the Amazon ranking. Just hope everyone is buying it out their local bookshops, is all I am saying.

PS you haven't left a review yet - anyone who has read it is welcome to do so...

I was swithering about whether or not to head down to Eden Court on thursday anyway - finding a link to this site on blueskyscotland might just swing it!

Nice wee blog. I've linked it from mine.

I don't have an Amazon account, so can't write one (I'm a bit paranoid about giving out bank details over the internet).

For anyone reading, the book is great - but it or I put a Kitty in the microwave!

Couldn't see it in Waterstones the other day. It must have sold out.

Do you know who is distributing it? I haven't checked Tisos or Nevis sport. And it totally kicks mountain days and bothy nights into the shaddows.

I was in Tiso the other day and forgot to check if they had it or not. Tbh I would need a higher profile, be a writer for TGO - or leader of Cairngorm MRT for 30 years! - for the book to be anything other than a slow burner. For example, I think Cairngorm John is on its third reprint already and it only came out in May, so that gives you an idea of what's selling better. Not that I'm jealous or anything.

Billy, I can set up an Amazon account for you if you want as I've got your bank details (from the internet)
